Wellness Rocks! Expands to New Facility in Clinton

After years of searching for the perfect space to practice holistic healing, Wellness Rocks! has recently moved to a beautiful, newly renovated facility in downtown Clinton. The spacious center is not only creating better access for the community, it allows owner Nancy Erb to expand to modalities and workshops she wasn’t able to present before. The original office space hindered Nancy’s vision of bringing wellness awareness and education to the masses. She dreamed of a bigger and better venue in which she could better assist in people’s growth and development. Now that her clientele can properly reach her, new and exciting avenues have opened up for Wellness Rocks!

A holistic, mental health therapist, Nancy is trained in traditional talk therapy but soon realized that “sometimes talking isn’t enough to get through the therapeutic blocks. I found a mind-body-spirit connection to a personal quest for health and began to incorporate it into my practice.” Thus, offering a variety of modalities at Wellness Rocks!, Nancy is able to facilitate a broader healing spectrum. Originally, she rented her space to holistic practitioners so they could have workshops and meetings in a convenient place. The downtown Clinton center will expand wellness to a new level, including classes in yoga, massage, tai chi, qi gong, crystal bowl healing, meditative art, workshops, meditation, reiki and various trainings and certifications. There will also be meditation classes, sharing hours and a naturopathic doctor on staff. One of Nancy’s favorite classes is the meditative art class, which she describes as “the best of both worlds,” and believes “we should never stop learning about various self-care techniques to prevent illness in our lives.”

Nancy’s focus continues to be on community access to holistic services and providing various practitioners a space to educate people. The renovated space includes fresh paint, new hardwood floors for yoga practice, and has been professionally Feng Shui-ed and spiritually cleansed. The new facility also has plenty of parking—a coveted commodity in bustling downtown Clinton. Nancy, who dedicates her life to helping others, has been described as “the glue of Wellness Rocks!” She continually inspires the people who visit her wellness center with her boundless energy and positive attitude. Wellness Rocks! has served as a natural extension of her philanthropic personality. She shares, “it takes a village to raise an adult; we all need assistance at one time or another.”

Nancy and her team of like-minded teachers are excited for people to experience the benefits of meditation, yoga and the other modalities offered at Wellness Rocks!. The center offers the opportunity to relax, let go and be a part of the community. Nancy is motivated by the fantastic feedback she gets from her clients as well as the practitioners who continue to offer their knowledge and healing techniques. She explains, “There is no separation as we learn from and support one another. We are one and the same and here we continue to prove that over and over again.”

Focused on continual growth, the center strives to offer holistic services that the public shows interest in. Wellness Rocks! also publishes a free newsletter full of vital wellness information. The center will be hosting a bizarre in the upcoming months and will have an open house event in December.

Tick Talk

Spring officially sprung on March 21. We have turned our clocks ahead. We are looking forward to warm winds, sunny skies and the smell of fresh cut grass. The daffodils and tulips have recently bloomed and we are just starting with the yard work that comes with the warmer weather.  Sadly, another season has started ramping up.  Tick season.

•             The best form of protection is prevention. Educating oneself about tick activity and how our behaviors overlap with tick habitats is the first step.

•             According to the NJ DOH, in 2022 Hunterdon County led the state with a Lyme disease incidence rate of 426 cases per 100,000 people. The fact is ticks spend approximately 90% of their lives not on a host but aggressively searching for one, molting to their next stage or over-wintering. This is why a tick remediation program should be implemented on school grounds where NJ DOH deems high risk for tick exposure and subsequent attachment to human hosts.

•             Governor Murphy has signed a bill that mandates tick education in NJ public schools. See this for the details.  Tick education must now be incorporated into K-12 school curriculum. See link:

•             May is a great month to remind the public that tick activity is in full swing. In New Jersey, there are many tickborne diseases that affect residents, including Anaplasmosis, Babesiosis, Ehrlichiosis, Lyme disease, Powassan, and Spotted Fever Group Rickettsiosis.

•             For years, the focus has mainly been about protecting ourselves from Lyme disease. But other tick-borne diseases are on the rise in Central Jersey. An increase of incidence of Babesia and Anaplasma are sidelining people too. These two pathogens are scary because they effect our blood cells. Babesia affects the red blood cells and Anaplasma effects the white blood cells.

•             Ticks can be infected with more than one pathogen. When you contract Lyme it is possible to contract more than just that one disease. This is called a co-infection. It is super important to pay attention to your symptoms. See link.
