Jump aboard as Flemington’s “Dockside Market and Grill” sails into their first anniversary of business. When local restauranteur Jeff Stern, owner of Fresco’s at Healthquest, announced the opening of Dockside in 2013, he was fulfilling a dream: to establish a gourmet eatery; one with a unique focus on healthy, whole ingredients, fresh fish, all natural steaks and chicken presented in a casual, hip atmosphere. One year later, thanks to the enthusiasm of his patrons, this one-of-a-kind BYOB restaurant continues to serve a well-balanced menu of soups, salads, burgers, all natural chicken and steaks plus the freshest seafood the oceans can offer. “The emphasis is on nutrition and flavors,” says Chef Luz Alderete, a native of Chile, South America. “Each morning we start from scratch with only the freshest ingredients, building layers of flavor with fresh herbs, spices and seasonings,” explains the chef. You’ll be happy to see gluten-free and vegetarian options on their menu as well.
The restaurant’s island vibe is enhanced by its lovely courtyard for al fresco dining, along with comfortable indoor seating for fifty (complete with surfboard hall of fame). Learn more about this gem of a restaurant by visiting their website at DocksideMarketAndGrill.com or stop in.
