Building Interfaith Community Through Dinner and a Movie
“Love Is A Verb” is an examination of a social movement of Sufi inspired Sunni Muslims that began in Turkey in the l960s and now reaches across the globe. The film explores the vision of Turkish Islamic scholar Fethullah Gulen who teaches that the Muslim community has a duty of service to the “common good” of the community and the nation and to Muslims and non-Muslims all over the world; and that the Muslim community is obliged to conduct dialogue with not just the “People of the Book” (Jews and Christians), but all people of good will.
Join your neighbors of many faiths for dinner and a showing of “Love is a Verb” and discussion on February 13 at 5:30 p.m. at Christ Presbyterian Church, 1600 Washington Valley Rd, Martinsville. Please RSVP by February 10 to [email protected] or 908 722-2080 for this free event.
